Waterside Lodge offers outstanding facilities and quality care for up to 64 residents, in a secure and welcoming environment that promotes independence, dignity and freedom of choice.
In addition to our rooms, the majority of which are en-suite (some with en suite shower facilities), we can offer lovely grounds that include a uniquely stimulating sensory garden, excellent public transport connections and a well-planned and nutritious menu, cooked on the premises.
We believe we can make anybody feel at home: offering a warm welcome for visitors and pets at any time, and residents can receive visits from a hairdresser, chiropodist, and reflexology practitioner, and enjoy live entertainment and daily newspapers. All our care staff have NVQ training or are working towards one and we also employ a number of qualified nurses. All our staff are hired because of their commitment to the values here at the Waterside Lodge.
Our gardens are spacious and well-stocked and provide seating areas for the enjoyment of our residents. Indoors, the rooms are decorated to a high standard, of various sizes, and centrally-heated. Residents are encouraged to bring items of their own furniture and personal effects with them and rooms can be rearranged to suit personal requirements. There are spacious lounge areas where residents can relax, watch TV and videos, listen to the radio and enjoy the company of others. It is our aim to promote the independence and quality of life of our residents and therefore daily activities are planned for our residents’ enjoyment.
Residents are free to enjoy time out with their key worker: the town centre with its shops and market is within easy walking distance. The bus routes outside the premises provide easy access to Halifax, Burnley and Rochdale and we are in close proximity to Todmorden railway station for journeys further afield.
